Proceed to thank you and Psalm 100
Psalm 100 reads from the NIV version of the Bible:
Shout for joy the Lord all the earth.
2 worship the Lord with joy;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It was he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with hymns;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and His mercy endures always!
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
The context of this psalm is in more than one meeting or congregation engaged in a collective act of thanksgiving and praise to the Lord. We enter or pass through its gates with thanksgiving, either individually or collectively. On the other side of the door and into his courts, is the Lord's goodness, his enduring love and constant fidelity to those hers. These are the traits of God that we find on the other side of Thanksgiving.
Verse 1 says: "Shout for joy, all the earth. " The call to joy is widespread, not confined to some corner of the earth, but the corner across the globe is called. This appeal may be extended in any way appropriate. Musically, they could have blown the trumpets, which would be a triumphant joy and representative jubilation and excitement.
Verse 3 says: "Know that the Lord is God. It was he who made us, and we are the sheep of his pasture. "
The Lord gave us more than once a declaration that we could do, but we would not say necessarily that over and over times. But God the Creator is obviously the creation and always one idea is to make reference to the context of his having created us and give thanks a baseline for some of the things he does for us now as part of its ongoing creative process. For example, perhaps in prayer for physical healing, said his ankle badly, I could say: Lord, I thank you for your healing presence as the creator of my ankle. Other examples could be thank you Lord for creating or making this opportunity for me. In this way, we refer to God as Creator or tea according to this verse from Psalms, but also put the idea of creation in the level of basic things we are grateful for this purpose within the jurisdiction of its creation and creative process in progress for us. For example, in other verses of the Old Testament in Isaiah, it says it will renew your youth like the eagles, a wonderful statement that would have to involve a creative process from the Lord, that is the reality of young people re-live as a blessing from the Lord's hand, and once the youth has passed, it can be habitual way made possible by the creative presence of our Lord. There are any number of thanksgiving that we could specifically put the creative word in, and in fact almost anything could happen in our favor, in part, involves a creative process that we can refer our thanks to Lord. The creative presence of the Lord is certainly something to think about the interior of our prayer requests that are made by praise.
We went in knowing his gates with thanksgiving, as God is our creator, in the first place. Thanksgiving does not work outside domain knowledge. Sheep as a metaphor does not mean that we do not know what happens, it is more of a referral that we monitored by the Good Shepherd and we are called back to good pasture if we have deviated or simply lost our way. It is more like we are called back to the palace, according to the story of the Prodigal Son. We thank not machines, repeating the word thank you, but we thank God for the location and position of knowledge and relationship that we know and contemplate God is our helper, redeemer, and the consumer and so on. God knows and we know what is the subject of our Thanksgiving is. This flow of knowledge is a two-way street and often accurate. We are called to be specific in prayer. 1 Corinthians 14 verse 7 says: "Even in the case of inanimate objects that make sounds such as the flute or harp, how does anyone know what tune is played at least that there is a distinction in the notes?
There are distinct and specific notes on the flute and harp, and there are distinct and specific prayers so that someone might know music and know the prayers. As anyone know a song, they would also know a prayer.
And so we come to the Lord of separate issues of concern that may be associated only in May.
It says in Psalm essentially "give thanks". It gives no real restrictions on what it might be to thank you. I do not dress my thanksgiving in holiness. The first verse where it says cries of joy, refers to a kind of frantic Thanksgiving. Thinking that this action Thanksgiving could be because it could be for anything that is certified as coming from the goodness and enduring love of God mentioned in verse 5. One example could be useful to preface your thanksgiving, saying: Thank you for your kindness to my Lord in this matter or that issue. We can prefaced with a thanksgiving, the major themes that we want to refine the interior of our prayers. A theme that I want to hone in on is communication, So I preface the word attached thanksgiving to the communication of words too. So you can say thank you to communicate your goodness to me Lord for giving me hot weather for jogging in. We can thank God for answered prayer, rather than taking only the answer and moving away with it that most lepers did with the healing hand of Jesus. They took the cure, but walked away without thank you. They were right to take the cure but wrong not to thank you except that which does thank you. Showing that God is love sustainable means that we can have Thanksgiving sustainable. Eternal love of God, which extends into eternal life means that we do not come running out of things to be grateful.
You can be honest with the Lord in prayer, however. Today, for example, I lose all my money in the stock market, I dismissed my gainful employment, and I get sued for everything I have left on a false accusation. I could tell the Lord, I can not thank you for this day as a financial blessing, as far as I can see, because you never know what all this means is, even a scenario like this could actually be a source of grace. Honesty is good policy in prayer, but in the case of leprosy, they were cured and for that they should thank you, they do not owe money, they should not work, they should not sort of payment other than payment of thanks by the way whose story reads. But if I say I owe my thanks in prayer, adding that I must say that I am indebted to the point of thanksgiving, and that This is a real debt that has been committed. As you may owe money, time, or a favor, you may also owe thanks sincere and you also have to thank God that you ponder this exchange what you have in your hand.
This psalm holds off on this specific does not mean that the details will not be there. In the call to the personal relationship with God, part on Thanksgiving, we access to specific means thanksgiving. Realistically, someone else can also give thanks for you as an intercessor, but you also have the means and direct access for thanksgiving to the Lord. It could be sharing more general benefits, such as prosperity of the land, which is not something to take for granted and we must not forget to give thanks for but there are also ways we helped personally by the Holy Spirit and what calls thank you also, and often what happens is very clear to you that the person you are in the light Lord's brilliant. Thanksgiving could be regarded almost as a joyful embrace of the Lord's presence.
Those present in history This Psalm is found in the courts of the Lord and live a joy or a remanence which implies knowledge of the Lord and the Lord knows. After all, if you can identify something in your life as coming from God, then logically, the Lord knows you personally.
Verse 4 says "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks and praise his name. "
We thank her name. If the sun rises well lit and warms us, we do not thank the Sun, to be here to thank the Lord on its behalf for the sun out for us. If our stock prices rise in the stock market, we do not thank the stock market, but we thank the Lord in his name to this charity.
Currently in the news, there is a crisis in the financial world. People are beginning to suffer as a means of monetary exchange for real estate.
But this psalm presents a mystery. The primary exchange is Thanksgiving, and the capacity to action grace in the context of the relationship with the Lord is a real medium of exchange that will exceed the value of any type of money. It is and the courts of the Lord came, there are no other exchanges of gifts mentioned that the offering of thanksgiving. Even the lepers of their sad state had this to offer for their healing, but they did not, except for any proceedings in the House of Yahweh with thanksgiving to the point of healing. So even if people in financial crisis today got their money, it is not the end, they must do the healing and financial through the gates of the Lord with thanksgiving. The procession should be the point of Thanksgiving.
The ability to give thanks to God right where you are is greater than any lottery ticket or any financial blessing. .
The story of the Prodigal Son to relate this psalm a little. The prodigal son, who is really the lost sheep, but it is more appropriate identified as a son comes to his senses and returns to his Father who rejoices from afar as he returns. To come to his senses, he acts from of knowledge and know what is in the house of his father or fathers courts. The courts mentioned in this psalm would be the home of the father in the story the Prodigal Son. It is a lost sheep, but a lost sheep who knows he is lost. It will enter or reenter the door again, his father's house or courts. There will be shouts of joy and gladness. It is a homecoming personal.
